Day 25 – 13 Radiations and 2 Chemos to Go!

Day 25 178 lbs

It was a long day today.  I got up tired……wonder why at 5:30?  The good news is that I have a 3 day weekend!  The center is closed tomorrow for Veterans Day and as a result I had my double treatment today.  So after the 8 am treatment I came home, iced, slathered, and headed immediately to bed.  Rising at noon, I had some chicken noodle soup and Ensure, took another shower because you cannot have creams or lotion on for treatment.  I had to leave a little early to go pick up a turning job – don’t worry it is just one 8 inch spindle and they made it worth my while.  After my second treatment, I came straight home iced, slathered and napped on the couch until Kathy Lynn got home about 6:30.  Great news I was hungry all day.  For dinner tonight I shredded 2 sausage patties added 2 scrambled eggs and smothered it with milk gravy – YUM!  I was even able to tear up soft bun cover it in gravy and finish that!  In short I am doing fine, just tired.  So I am going to go to bid you goodnight and head to bed. Hopefully tomorrow will come with more energy, if not I’ve got the day off so I can sleep! Happy Veterans Day to all of you that courageously served our Country, because of your service I am blessed to live in a country where I am free to express myself and enjoy the fruits of freedom.  Thank you.
